This course is designed to prepare students with a competitive portfolio of 15-20 pieces approximately half of which will be drawn from life. To that end we will be studying art history, art criticism and a variety of art making techniques including drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture.
Additionally, we will be exploring different aspects of perception, how we see and experience the world around us and how that differs from others. We will try to see well and say something about what we see.
